Sorry folks ( folk?), its been awhile since I last posted. I have recently been having a lot of technical difficulties. However, my mom was able to figure it out this morning and I am finally able to divulge the great details of my COMC Black Friday. I spent a little over $35 and qualified for free shipping
I got the Bob Friend for $1.50. The Monte Irvin wasn't on sale but I decided it was a good deal for $2.95. |
This mutilated Luke Easter came my way for a paltry $1.21! |
I had to get about a dozen filler cards to qualify for free shipping. |
All but one were under 40 cents including this beautiful Dimaggio! |
Cards of guys in military uniform and Tris Speaker refractors are hard for me to resist. |
And finally, the only filler card I spent over 40 cents for:
It's Eddie!!!! I've wanting a card of Eddie Gaedel for a while, so this card for 45 cents was a steal in my mind. But that's not all. I am still to divulge the 2 centerpiece cards!

Holy moely! |
I got the Jack Quinn for a paltry $12.25, down from $30.25 without the sale! I think for a 247 game-winner that was a serious bargain. Old Jack Quinn survived in the majors until his very late 40s as a relief pitcher! Also a 1933 Goudey card of a 22-year survivor for $6.38 was a awesome deal. I actually got these cards in the mail on Saturday, but I wasn't able to post them until today. I also got my dad 8 cards closer to completing the 1970 Topps set, which he started in 1970, for a late birthday present. Overall, a Black Friday well spent.
